Lords of Lynn and the Boyds

It has long been thought that the Lynns of that Ilk, a/k/a Lords of Lynn, were either vassals or a sept of the Boyds. As numerous older documents have been discovered, it is proven that the Lynns were a "landed" family and owned the barony of Lynn for three centuries before selling it to the Boyds in 1532. Even then, they kept the manor place or "mains" of the barony until 1670. See - http://scotlandinmay.house-of-lynn.com/LynnOfThatIlk.html
